How it all started...
Southwest Church was started by an original team of 13 adults and held it's first service on Sunday, October 5th, 1997 with about 100 people in attendance.
They met in rented spaces at Micah Banquet Center and Springboro Junior High before meeting in the Coffman Family YMCA for more than a decade. Southwest moved into her permanent home at 150 Remick Boulevard in Springboro on Super Bowl Sunday of 2012. An additional wing was built and opened up in February 2017.

Expanding the vision...
Southwest moved into the church building on Super Bowl Sunday in 2012. Since then, Southwest has added staff and leadership with the growth of the church. During this time, church leadership led Southwest to a renewed commitment to discipleship, a greater outward mission focus, and a deep passion for small groups. In 2017, an additional 8,000 square feet were added to make room for growing Children's and Student Ministries as well as providing ministry staff with office space for the first time.
Where we are headed...
Today Southwest is a growing mid-sized church committed to making more and better disciples as we bring the hope of Jesus to Southwest Ohio.
Having enjoyed a record year of generosity, baptisms, mission involvement, and weekly small group participation in 2019, Southwest is excited to invite others along for this exciting, faith-led journey in following Jesus.
